Gord Spak's Vette Mar'10

Gord Spak writes Paul Parkins of TCS Products

Hi Paul,

Well the motor is a 565 bbc, with an airshift powerglide, making about 1,000 HP. Trans has a TCS Products 9" converter, Super Pump, Stator Tube, Ringless Input Shaft, Extra Wide Racing Band and Large Piston Steel Drum, all in a Dedenbear case.

The car is a 1963 Corvette, Hairyglass fibreglass body on a moly tube chassis by Racing Chassis Services; certified for 6 seconds.

Not a lot of history, the car was brand new at the start of the 08 season with a 511 bbc in it that failed. That finished us at the 19 spot. Started 09 off with the new 565, then came the transmission trouble. Thats where you and Murray at Allomatic in Saskatoon come in. We won the Erin Beck Memorial season opener and led the points race most of the 09 season. One or two less red lights would have clinched the season championship. The new parts in the transmission made the car react quicker, had to put more time into the box. Can't wait to start the 2010 season with the new converter and all the other new parts. The car has also won Best Appearing in SuperPro 2 years in a row. Best time to date is a 8.27 @ 167 mph. at the 09 season opener.

Thanks, Gord.... Your help is greatly appreciated!
